day

accessible and thought provoking? How do you control nervousness? How
do you know if your message “landed” with your audience? The
Strickland Group shows you how to use clear messages, practiced delivery,
and audience engagement in order to improve your overall communications

Presentation Skills Master Class – One-half day
In this highly interactive and experiential program, The Strickland Group
will focus on leveraging your existing presentation strengths and identifying
several key areas to dramatically increase impact and effectiveness. Using
the core concepts of look-sound-content and audience focus, learn to design
your messages to ensure they are not only powerful but also unforgettable.

How do you write effectively for a business audience in the age of email,
“texting” and instant messenger? What will make the receiver
pull your message from the cyber clutter and want to read it and respond?
In this timely and engaging program, The Strickland Group will help you
understand your company’s email culture and share strategies for

Business Writing with Impact – One-half day
Business people are required to understand complex issues and respond
quickly. Well-written and easily accessible documents help internal and
external clients make decisions and take action. In this program, The
Strickland Group shows you how to strengthen the clarity, focus and impact
of your technical and business documents, avoid common mistakes like information

PowerPoint Excellence – One-half day
Have you been to a meeting and experienced “Death by PowerPoint”
where the presenter has too much information jammed into too many slides?
In this informative and highly interactive program, The Strickland Group
will show you how to use this pervasive medium to enhance your presentations

Powerful First Impressions – 2 hours
In both formal and informal meetings, people make their minds up about
you very quickly. How do you manage their perceptions? What are the keys
to creating a lasting and positive impression? The Strickland Group delivers
an entertaining and informative session that covers networking skills,
elevator speeches and icebreakers. (Capacity 20)
Effective Interviewing Skills – One-half day
There’s nothing more important than hiring the right person for
your team, but how can you know from a one-hour interview that your next
candidate has the skills, experience and attitude you need? In this informative
and interactive workshop, The Strickland Group will show you how to create
your message, watch for non-verbal clues, and increase the amount and
value of the information you get from an interview by creating and asking
questions that predict future behavior. (Capacity 15)
Building Executive Presence – Several Design Options
Some people call it charisma. Others say you are born with it. But everyone
knows it when they see it. How can you develop greater executive presence?
The Strickland Group’s programs combine individual coaching and
feedback with interactive group discussion and practice. Learn how to
capture and demonstrate the best of your own individual style whether
you are courting a client, persuading senior management or leading your
next very important meeting. Program can be tailored for one full day,
1.5 days, or two full days. (Capacity 6)
Executive Presence and Organizational Culture Seminar
Organizations recognize that the single most important influence on its
culture is the behavior of its leaders. This seminar design incorporates
your organization’s culture and the specific leadership behaviors
needed to drive the culture. What is your organization looking for from
its leaders? What do the best leaders do to convey power and presence,
and what should your leaders, present and future, strive to do? Through
a combination of individual coaching, group discussion, videotaped and
live practice and feedback, participants will discover their own distinctive
combination of personal and organizational strengths, and learn how to
leverage them consistently through conscious choices and exceptional communication
and interpersonal skills. Communications Coaching is standard; Executive
Coaching is available to discuss each leader’s challenges in the
context of the organization’s expectations. 1.5 days -- One half-day
of group work and 2 half-days of individual sessions with 1 or 2 coaches.
