The Strickland Group offers Assessment Services on three different levels: INDIVIDUAL, TEAM, and ORGANIZATIONAL.

These services provide an overview of an individual, a division, a team, or an entire organization -- an overview which enables a clear picture to emerge about both strengths and needs.

Specific needs can be pinpointed, and a plan of action to address those needs developed from data. When data is collected from multiple sources, the response associated with specific individuals is protected and only summary data are disclosed.

INDIVIDUAL

  • Individual Characteristics. Strickland psychologists have access to hundreds of psychological measures that can assess strengths, weaknesses, and potential areas for personal development.

  • Executive Talent Overview. This technique is an open-interview format that assesses an executive's competencies in five to ten broad areas of functioning, including: cognitive ability, problem-solving skills, emotional expressiveness in the workplace, interpersonal style, and communication abilities. It concludes with specific suggestions for development.

  • Core Competence Profile. Individual characteristics are compared against an organization's specific needs. These needs are determined by the tasks and characteristics required for success in a particular job in a particular organization. The Core Competence Profile, determined through multiple interviews with key stakeholders who interact with the individual in his or her role, provides the essential competencies required for success.

ORGANIZATIONAL

Organizational assessments can include "Organizational Studies" and "Organizational Surveys."

In an Organizational Study, data is collected through individual interviews with key personnel at every relevant layer of an organization or company. The Study is usually driven by a specific issue or problem with which the organization is grappling -- with the goal of arriving at specific recommendations and an action plan with which to move forward.

The "Organizational Survey" usually involves larger numbers than the Organizational Study, and permits identification of key issues that affect organizational effectiveness. The instrument is custom-designed and especially useful when administered on a regular basis to establish baselines and progress on key issues over time.
